  • The PL-ELS 2100 Ice detector has the best performance of any ELSD on the market. It covers the useful range of the PL-ELS 2100, plus, lower temperatures. It should be the first recommendation to most customers as it covers the widest range of applications and has the unique sales advantage of a Integrated Cooled Evaporator
  • The PL-ELS 2100 Ice is targeted at compounds that have significant volatility even below 40oC such as low molecular weight semi-volatile compounds that can benefit from sub-ambient operation
  • The PL-ELS 2100 is ideal for less volatile compounds such as sugars, surfactants and triglycerides. For applications that demand operation above 80oC, the PL-ELS 2100 is ideal.

Another dimension to data analysis

  • ELSD is gradient compatible
  • ELSD is not susceptible to thermal instability or long equilibration times
  • ELSD is not dependent on the optical properties of the analyte, unlike UV and Fluorescence detection
  • UV and RI detection are not compatible with some solvents
  • Important information can be missed with an RI and UV detector
  • ELSD is a better alternative to UV at low wavelengths (i.e. 210nm)
